Louisville is a “Place to Love”

Samantha Brown Show Highlights Louisville

By Mike Hall, Broker/Agent/Owner

Samantha Brown Show

Another reason Louisville is a great place to live!

The global traveler, Samantha Brown, has brought her show Places to Love to Louisville. Brown visited the Kentucky Stoneware & Co., the Mohammed Ali Center, and Bourbons Bistro on Frankfurt Avenue, as well as other locations throughout Kentucky.

Brown’s fifth season of Places to Love will air on KET on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 1:30 p.m. and at various times throughout the month on PBS channels.

With so much to see and do in the Louisville area, it’s no wonder it made Brown’s list of “places to love.” From sprawling parks to bourbon tours … grassroots markets to innovative and delicious restaurants, and historic districts to pioneering new technologies, Louisville is a great place to live and work.

By Mike Hall, Broker/Agent/Owner

New Jobs in Louisville

More jobs are coming to Louisville!

An auto-supply company, Ebspaecher North America plans to open a facility in Louisville Riverport, bringing more than 200 new jobs to Louisville. The North American subsidiary of the German company, Eberspächer Group, is a system developer and supplier of exhaust technology, thermal management systems, and automotive electronics. They intend to bring a $30 million investment to Louisville.

The Ebspaecher group will occupy 125,000 square feet of an existing facility at 7001 Greenbelt Highway. They’ll begin preparing their facility in May with hopes for completion in August.

The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority is working with Ebspaecher to create 214 jobs with an average hourly income of $25 with benefits in exchange for performance-based tax incentives. This plan will benefit Louisville with employment opportunities and revenue.

Together, Louisville and Ebspaecher are providing another reason why it’s great to live and work in Louisville. If you’re looking to make Louisville your home, talk with an agent today about finding the best house for you and your family!

Louisville Ranks Among the Top

And the locals already know why

by MIKE HALL, Owner/ Broker/ Agent

Louisville

Louisville ranked 43rd of the best 100 places to live by U.S. News and World Report. Up from No. 45 last year, Louisville’s low commute time (23.7 minutes), great home values, and low unemployment rate (4.4 percent) sealed its ranking near the top.

Mild seasonal temperatures make Louisville’s attractions even more appealing. No secret to the locals, standouts were Louisville’s art scene, NCAA sporting attractions, and an emphasis on unique local industries including everyone’s favorite — bourbon.

There's Nothing Like Kentucky

Life in Kentucky: Hollywood Producer Follows Wife Back to Her Roots

I happened to catch a story on Wave 3 news about the famous Jerry Bruckheimer and his wife, Linda who is originally from Louisville. They have a home in Nelson County, just about 30 minutes from Louisville.

There they've been restoring downtown Bloomfield, Ky.  The couple shares something I already know. "There's no place like Kentucky." We can help you find your home in Louisville.  Just contact me or one of our agents.  We'll get 'er done.

If you'd ike to visit this historic city, it's a quick drive.  Perfect for a sight-seeing Sunday afternoon (that is unless you're going to open houses like me).

Louisville Commute Times Far Below Average

Shorter drive to work means more time spent at home.

Spending a lot of the time in the car makes you wonder what you might be missing elsewhere in your life?  Could you be spending more time with your kids?  Your spouse?  Knocking out a big project at work?

Minimal commute times makes Louisville one of the best cities to live. Spending eight days a year in the car due to traffic is longer than most leisurely vacations.  No thanks.

If you’re trying to decide if Louisville is the right place to relocate, factor in a shorter commute to work.  I can also help you discover areas that are close to work that are great neighborhoods.   Click here for relocation info.
