According to Orbitz writer Jason Heidemann, Louisville lands as the fourth place in the world most open to the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) community.
The top three places were Los Angeles, Paris and Thailand, ranking Louisville as the second best town in America for friendly acceptance. Bardstown Road’s three gay bars, Chill Bar, Big Bar, and Nowhere Bar were mentioned in Heidemann’s reasoning. Trailing behind Louisville (in order) were Puerto Rico, Rio de Janeiro, Ireland, Route 66, Tahiti and Eureka Springs, Ark.
Welcoming to all walks of life, Louisville has once again been voted as a hospitable place to visit, thus a great place to live.
