Louisville Spring Home Sales

Tips for a Springtime sale

by MIKE HALL Owner/Broker/Agent

We made it through this long winter! With a colder, drier spring than usual in Louisville, the warm temperate weather seems to have finally steadied out. As many home buyers decide to stay put through the cold winter months, there are many eyes ready to see what is on the market now. Here are a few ideas to catch their attention.

Make sure your home is as great on the inside as it is on the outside. While what is inside matters most, the first impression does come from your home's exterior! Make sure your lawn is in good shape, plant or pot some colorful flowers, give your door and shutters a fresh coat of paint, and mulch your flower beds.  A little outdoor work goes a long way.

Be proactive about making fixes, rather than putting them off. Things always come up on home inspections, so get needed repairs.  Costly surprises after an offer is extended are very disappointing. New home buyers want minimal fixing-up, so keep your prospect ideal.

Spring in Louisville

Fresh sights and feels

Spring in LouisvilleWith the cold still heading out of Louisville, it is hard to believe that we are already a third of the way through 2016.  Happily so, spring in Louisville is one of the most beautiful times of year. Trees are in full bloom. With April comes spring showers, as well as a shower of lights in Louisville.

Mark your calendars for Sat., April 23, for Thunder over Louisville— the largest annual firework display in North America along with a day-long air show. A $5 purchase of a Pegasus pin gains everyone entry to the festival. Planning a spot to watch the truly fantastic firework show pays off. Whether you’ll be camping out with thousands of others all day on the waterfront, or viewing from a rooftop terrace overlooking the Louisville Bridge, there are many areas in Louisville to catch a good view.

From April 14- May 6, there are tons of events taking place throughout Louisville like golf tournaments, marathons, food, beer and wine festivals, parades, balls, concerts and more. For a full list, visit the Kentucky Derby Festival website to plan your spring.
