Clean your gutters to keep your basement dry.
A wet basement is no fun. It creates a musty smell and depending on how wet it is, can create a mess.
If your basement is leaking, consider the source. Could it be clogged gutters? I always reccomend a thorough gutter cleaning. If your gutters are clogged, water runs down your house and stays close to the foundation. This is not good.
Water within six inches of your house is just waiting to sneak in. An unwanted houseguest that will come inside before it goes away.

Louisville Abounds with Farmers Markets
Living in Louisville means every weekend you get to sample some fresh produce. There are at least nine farmers markets with more in surrounding counties, such as Oldham.

I personally think people like knowing a farmers market is close to their Louisville neighborhood. Some of my favorite farmers markets close to where I live are at the Beargrass Christian Church off Shelbyville Rd. in St. Matthews and Anette's produce truck at The Temple off Brownsboro Rd. and Lime Kiln.
Apples are next up along with other fall favorites like butternut squash.
