Spring in Louisville
Fresh sights and feels
by MIKE HALL Owner/Agent/Broker
With the cold still heading out of Louisville, it is hard to believe that we are already a third of the way through 2016. Happily so, spring in Louisville is one of the most beautiful times of year. Trees are in full bloom. With April comes spring showers, as well as a shower of lights in Louisville.
Mark your calendars for Sat., April 23, for Thunder over Louisville— the largest annual firework display in North America along with a day-long air show. A $5 purchase of a Pegasus pin gains everyone entry to the festival. Planning a spot to watch the truly fantastic firework show pays off. Whether you’ll be camping out with thousands of others all day on the waterfront, or viewing from a rooftop terrace overlooking the Louisville Bridge, there are many areas in Louisville to catch a good view.
From April 14- May 6, there are tons of events taking place throughout Louisville like golf tournaments, marathons, food, beer and wine festivals, parades, balls, concerts and more. For a full list, visit the Kentucky Derby Festival website to plan your spring.
