by MIKE HALL, Owner/Agent/Broker
1. Celebrate the United States’ Declaration of Independence at the annual Fourth of July celebration at Waterfront Park.
Activities begin at 5 p.m. on July 4 on the great lawn and will include music from the Louisville Orchestra, food trucks, and of course fireworks. Want to celebrate but a bit more lowkey? Hop on a the Belle of Louisville for a fireworks cruise and watch the fireworks on the river.
2. The longest-running, free Shakespeare festival in the U.S. happens right here in Louisville.
The annual Kentucky Shakespeare Festival 2023 season kicked off in May and runs through early August. Performances are held in the upgraded Central Park. For performance dates and more information, click here.
3. In its third year, the Frazier History Museum is throwing the Summer Beer Fest on July 29.
Beer, food, and music will be on tap. Purchase a VIP ticket and get exclusive access to more than 200 specialty beers and access to the museum.
4. For a fun family friendly event, take part in the Splash ‘n’ Dash at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park on July 22.
Participants can choose a 1K, 5K or aquathon with proceeds going to benefit the kids receiving care at Norton Children’s facilities.
